Social Events
St Columba's has a Social Committee which meets from time to time to organise events and fund-raising ventures.
Anyone is welcome to contribute with suggestions or time!
The nature of the events varies with time and with people's interests and enthusiasms. Two long running activities are the Sunday School barbecue, held - weather permitting! - at Beecraigs in the Bathgate Hills and a quiz night with St Peter's, where we have a cup to compete for. And of course Bathgate Gala Day provides opportunties of its own, as the picture on the right suggest.
There are also fund raising events, of which one highlight recently has been the ceilidh held in Torphichen to raise funds for Christian Aid; this is held in May in conjunction with the annual Christian Aid week.
